My girls are getting older, and they just get sweeter and cuter every day. I have been busy, busy, busy with them, and have not kept even remotely good to my word to update this blog more regularly. Try and try again, I suppose.
Here are some recent pictures. Even though I left my camera in Phoenix, I still have plenty of pictures that have never been posted, due to my neglect of our family blog. Just try and look at these pictures and not smile.
Here are a few updates on the Hale family. Aubrey is attending the PEEC Preschool at Estes now. She attends for only two and a half hours, three days a week, which is less time than her two days at Casas Christian Preschool. Nonetheless, she meets with three different therapists (for speech, occupational, and physical skills), and she has a very structured day, with specials and centers. I know that she likes it there, I really trust her therapists, and I think this is a great next step for her. Her language has exploded in a year's worth of time. When we went to Hawaii she learned three new words, and we were so excited. Now she very well might learn three new words in a single day. She repeats everything and is starting to string two words together. Also, she has become a puzzle genius. I'm so proud of my big girl.
Sophie is learning a lot, too. She crawls everywhere. And she is fast! She just zooms across the room on those little hands and knees. She pulls herself to standing. She makes cooing sounds and waits for us to respond to her. She eats solid foods and finger foods. I forgot how quickly they grew and changed when they were this young. Even more special is how she watches and adores her big sister. I can tell that she is going to grow up fast, because she wants to do everything that Aubrey does! I'm so proud of my little girl.
It is so sweet to see them giggling together. Aubrey likes to grab her hand and hold it. On the flip side, territorial wars over toys have already begun. Another challenge of parenting that was waiting to hit.
On a technical note ... Sorry these pictures aren't organized throughout the post. For some reason, I can't cut and paste them like I used to. Also, I have changed the name of our blog to include Sophie! I just can't get the page to reflect the new name. One of these days I will figure these things out. For now, I'll just post my entry while the impulse is still upon me. Can't miss these rare opportunities.
